A fully suspended responsive and efficient MTB
Performance and fun, two words that sum up the Origine Naja. Excellent grip, optimal power transfer, and an ability to brush off the heaviest of stresses of dem [See more]anding use. A good a climber as it is an efficient descender, compliant and at ease in the air, the NAJA is incredibly versatile. Compatible with either a 120 or 130mm fork, choose the Naja that reflects you.
Origine's alloy fully suspended MTB
We chose alloy because the most important thing on a full suspension bike is the kinematics. You can have a front triangle with the best fibre on the market, the most optimised carbon draping, but if the suspension doesn't follow, your bike is worthless.
We have opted for a combination of top of the range alloy with optimised kinematics for cyclists with a limited budget. This gives us better suspension than many carbon bikes, and this is where the performance of this type of bike comes into play.
Tubes are extruded and triple butted, before they are put through the T4T6 hardening process. After welding, the complete frame is further solidified by a new heat treatment for added solidity.
This material was a real challenge for our design team. In addition to all the work done to reconcile kinematics, geometry and dimensions, we had to be inventive to make the final result aesthetically pleasing, and to ensure that the level of finish met our specifications. The welds are a work of art.
Our rear suspension trail bike
Possibly the biggest challenge we've faced since the conception of Origine, in collaboration with Rock Shox is our patented Adaptive Suspension Efficiency® developed for our Naja trail bike that is the embodiment of versatility with its 120mm of rear damper travel and a choice of 120 or 130mm of front travel.
We opted for a virtual pivot point for a lightweight build for efficient management of the suspension ratios and dynamic criteria.
Our biggest constraint was to balance the ratio between sensitivity on small impacts and the limit of heeling on larger impacts. We developed this suspension with this objective in mind with the objective to give quality damping over the entire travel and over a wide range of speeds at the damper rod point.
The swingarm is articulated around 2 bearings at each pivot point + 4 bearings for the chainstay/front triangle liaison. We worked with Rock Shox to obtain the required settings for the Deluxe Ultimate RCT 210x55mm damper. The field tests and the feedback provided has enabled our engineers to choose the ideal damper setting for the Naja.
We couple these kinematics with 42mm offset forks and a choice of 120 or 130mm of damper travel.
