Performance and Comfort

Comfortable and lightweight semi-rigid mountain bike

For fast and fun rides or longer rides, whatever the conditions or your level, the Théorème GT is a semi-rigid carbon mountain bike that adapts.

Equipped with high modulus fibres and benefiting from the expertise of our engineers, it is as efficient as it is comfortable and allows you to tackle surprising terrain without difficulty for a semi-rigid mountain bike.

Designed from the start as an ultra versatile model, its CCT+ rear triangle and EPS moulding optimise performance while reducing vibrations, making this carbon mountain bike the perfect partner for all your outings. Without exception.

Ultra-customizable, you can configure it to your image with a 120mm fork or a telescopic seatpost for example.

Technological benefits

Theoreme GT

Theoreme GT

Our ambition was to come up with the design of such a formidable machine that top performance at every level would be possible.
Two and a half years of painstaking research were necessary. Two and a half years of trials, of failures and complete blank outs. Re-thought, re-designed and re-worked hundreds of times.
Pushing our know-how and technology even further and challenging ourselves to be bold, even bolder.
Why? Because we wanted an extremely responsive MTB frame, but also a comfortable frame. That is as much a player as it is reliable.
Challenge assumed!
Thanks to the Dynamic Response concept, what we have achieved is not a bike, more a partner in crime!
Like an archer's bow that instantaneously returns to its original shape upon the release of the arrow.
Dynamic Response

Dynamic Response

The Dynamic Response® concept reflects Origine's character: the perpetual search for excellence in performance, while retaining a certain comfort. The weave and layering of the carbon fibre was specifically studied to opt for a responsive frame rather than a stiff frame to enable an extremely fast return following deformation.

Our engineers developed the Dynamic Response® concept. Rather than preventing the frame from deforming at various stress points (bottom bracket and the head tube when cornering) so as not to lose power transfer, the Théorème works more like a spring, an archer's bow for an extremely fast return following deformation. As a result it's more responsive, more predictable, even in series of fast, tight bends. It is also easier to steer and more comfortable on long rides, during those moments of tiredness or in winding, technical areas.
New XRD® technology

New XRD® technology

We have also developed XRD®, a wholly new system of fixing the derailleur hangar so that it remains in the rear wheel's axis. The result is improved shifting accuracy and the wheel's stiffness in the frame is increased by 17%.

We have based our XRD® technology on Shimano's new standard thru-axle
EPS moulding technology

EPS moulding technology

The EPS internal polyurethane frame moulds prevent the build-up of resin in the angles but smooth out the frame tubes’ internal surfaces.
Consequently, the frame is not weighed down by excess unnecessary resin.
Smoothing out the internal surfaces results in a consistent tube thickness, as a result the frame can better filter out ground buzz and vibration.

Toray® T800 and M40 M50 carbon fibre weave

Toray® T800 and M40 M50 carbon fibre weave

The Japanese firm Toray® is the world's largest manufacturer of carbon fibre, its fibre is used in several fields such as car racing and the aeronautical industry. Toray fibre is used, for example, in the manufacture of the Boeing 787.

The frame is now moulded using unidirectional high modulus T800 fibre. A mix of 3K M40 and M50 fibres is used in the areas subject to strong torsional strain to as to obtain optimal performance while maintaining a certain level of comfort.
Hand-painted in our factory

Hand-painted in our factory

All Origine frames are painted in our assembly plant in the north of France.

We have conscientiously chosen to exclusively use car industry quality water soluble paints.
Their resistance to scratches, impacts and abrasion is far superior to those frames painted in Asia and the impact on the environment is considerably less.
High-end quality

High-end quality

The Théorème GT 29" frame is supplied with Origine's top-of-the-range tapered Inset 1"1/8-1.5" headset that has been specifically designed for cyclists seeking precision steering and performance.

- Sealed high-quality smooth bearings for even more steering precision.
Requires little turning effort, friction-free. Assembled in a controlled environment.

-Top cap (of various sizes: 10, 15 or 25mm) machined from a single alloy block with an O-ring and gasket for a maximum protection and seal.

Plus, the seat post clamp is machined from a single alloy block, then anodised for extra strength.

The frame is compatible with a 30.9mm seat post.
Also compatible with postmount disc brakes (160mm rear rotor). The frame is also compatible with tyres up to 2.25" wide.

The full carbon Boost BB92 Pressfit bottom bracket is compatible with the following cranksets:
-Shimano: Full 24mm range (SLX / XT / XTR etc.)
-Rotor: Full 24mm range
-Sram: GXP (22/24mm) and DUB Pressfit
-FSA: MegaExo 24mm only

The rear wheel axle is a standard Boost 12x148. Shimano thread.

The derailleur hangar is a vertical type.

The front derailleur standard is a Shimano E-type w/o BB mount (E6X).

Full internal cable-routing.

It's the small details that count.
